- Erratum: Reads, "Warrens of the One Tribe 13PS 3GP 1FH You begin the game with three Provinces. Once per phase, you may play a Fate card in any discard pile as if it were in your hand. Fate cards you have played are removed from the game if they are ever in a discard pile. Limited: Target and bow a Ratling Personality you control: Lose 1 Honor. Discard the top card of each Fate deck." [MRP, Tomorrow, 12 March 2007] Rules Archive, August 18, 2007, p. 153
- Once you've played a Fate card, remove it from the game the first time it goes to the discard pile. E.g., if you play an Action card that is immediately discarded, remove it from the game; if you play a Follower (e.g.) that is later destroyed, remove it from the game. [JA, ML, web, 9 April 2005] Rules Archive, August 18, 2007, p. 153
- You may not use another player's Fall on Your Knees to cancel itself, because Fall on Your Knees is played when a Reaction is played, and Action cards are discarded after you play them. [JA, ZF, web, 9 April 2004] Rules Archive, August 18, 2007, p. 153
- Card effects that allow you to play cards from the discard pile (e.g., Recruiting Drive) do not count towards the once per phase limit. [JA, web, 9 June 2005] Rules Archive, August 18, 2007, p. 153
Rules Q&A
- Q: Path of Wisdom was not reprinted since A Warrior's Patience was. - Is path of wisdom considered played when a player get it from his discard pile ? So, can I retrieve it many times (once per turn of course) in a same game if I am a Warrens Of the One Tribe Player ?
A: Path of Wisdom is never "played" (see Play).
So, yes it will never be removed from the game via Warrens' trait.
And yes, you may retrieve it as many times as you like, but only due to its own trait. Brook Cunningham, "Path of Wisdom VS A Warrior's Patience", 16 Apr 2010 - Q: When playing with (post-errata) Warrens of the One Tribe, do cards that would normally allow a player to play from their discard pile (eg - Recruiting Drive) count against the once-per-phase limit?
A: No. Jeff Alexander, "Warrens of the One Tribe question", 9 Jun 2005 - Q: Example #1: If I play the Recruiting Drive from my hand, and play some followers from my discard pile, can I still play one other card from any discard pile this phase?
A: Yes. Jeff Alexander, "Warrens of the One Tribe question", 9 Jun 2005 - Q: Example #2: If I play the Recruiting Drive from my discard pile, may I play followers from my discard pile this phase, as per the text of Recruiting Drive?
A: Yes. Jeff Alexander, "Warrens of the One Tribe question", 9 Jun 2005 - Q: say im playing the new Ratling Stronghold "One Tribe" and i react to something during battle, and my opponent plays Fall on your Knees can I use his fall on your Knees that he just played to cancel his FoyK?
A: No. Fall on Your Knees is played when a Reaction is played, and Action cards are discarded after you play them. (Yes, the timing is really subtle.) This has been confirmed through discussion within the Rules Junta. Zen Faulkes, "Warrens of the One Tribe and Fall on your Knees", 9 Apr 2005 - Q: say im playing the new Ratling Stronghold "One Tribe" and i react to something during battle, and my opponent plays Fall on your Knees can I use his fall on your Knees that he just played to cancel his FoyK? or is there a timing issue to make this not possible.
A: I've forwarded this question over to the Rules Junta to check on exactly when a played Action Card hits the Discard Pile. Martin Lund, "Warrens of the One Tribe and Fall on your Knees", 3 Apr 2005
