Rules Q&A
- Q: Ok the set up;
Heart of Shinomen Forest Your Nagas are immune to fear. You may ignore Honor Requirements for Nagas if you have Shadowlands cards in play. blah, blah, blah and so on.
Wasp Sensei Your Wasp Clan Personalities have your clan's trait. blah blah...
The question;
Can I ignore honor req. for the Wasp Clan peeps also? I feel yes, but I want to be sure. Need to get ready for Boston Gran Prix.
A: Yes. Wasp Sensei works like Kage and At'tok'tuk: it applies to all relevant Personalities in your deck, discard pile, Provinces, and in play. Jeff Alexander, "Rulings for 12-13 February 2001", 16 Feb 2001 - Q: Then Wasp Sensei.
It says that you may not lobby for the favor. Can you still contest someone from taking the favor if your FH is higher? If so can you bow people and still give a gift as you yourself are not lobbying for the favor or would you simply contest it till your opponent bows enough people and so on to get it?<<
Just out of curiosity, why does the Wasp Sensei prohibit one from lobbying? Have the Wasp, who last I heard were all Emerald Magistrates, fallen out of favor with the emperor?
A: Not that I know of, but you also have to remember that the Wasp aren't your traditional Emerald Magistrates. They're a different, more independant sort, and that might have something to do with their unwillingness (or inability) to cury favor with the Emperor. Vaughn Derderian, "Rules for November 27th", 27 Nov 2000 - Q: Then Wasp Sensei.

A: Lobbying for the favor is *just* bowing someone during your Limited phase etc. There's no such thing as contesting a lobbying attampt, there's just the onus of the lobbying player to become the best possible candidate for the Favor.
If you are a Wasp Sensei player, you cannot bow people to initiate a lobbying attempt. However, you may still bow personalities to speak on behalf of yourself (or another player), and you may still give gifts. A player with lower honor than you lobbying for the Favor still has to get himself above your honor to successfully gain the Favor. Vaughn Derderian, "Rules for November 26th", 26 Nov 2000
