So, if he is a Spirit player, the Welcome Home simply won't resolve? It's something like an Avoid Fate when played by a Spirit player?
A: Master of Destiny does not make an Event resolve for you immediately. It steals the Event from your opponent before it resolves and puts it in your Province. Then, on YOUR first following Events Phase, it resolves using all the normal rules...which means that, as a Spirit player, you won't get anything. A: They were. But *before this systematic release*, they were given out on a *very* limited basis. As other have noted, the current "Welcome Home" is not more than 30 days before GenCon. A: There were 583 Events. I didn't finish updating all of them (and a lot of other cards in the Oracle) to Ivory-compliance... yet. 😛 OBH shouldn't need an Events Phase once I do. However, as Kempy said, you can take a look at most of them to see how they would work in an Events-phase-free environment.
