Rules Q&A
- Q: Couldn't find where to reply to my own post for some reason so am just editing it.
A: Yes, sorry, I didn't convey my recommendation of starting a new thread well enough. Only Mods and Rules Team Members can reply to threads in this subforum, so that you will always get the best answer possible! Ben Higgins, "Winds of Dismissal", 24 Feb 2012 - Q: I am specifically curious about Yasuki Jinn-Kuen Xp2's political reaction. Political Reaction: After an action targets your Merchant, pay 2 Gold: Negate the action's effects.
Would that stop both from happening?
A: Yes. Jinn-Kuen's Reaction will negate all effects of the action on Winds of Dismissal, including the honor gain. Ben Higgins, "Winds of Dismissal", 24 Feb 2012 - Q: If i target someone with Winds of dismissal and they play a negation what is negated? is it just their honor loss or does my honor gain from using an Air shugneja get negated as well?

I am specifically curious about Yasuki Jinn-Kuen Xp2's political reaction. Political Reaction: After an action targets your Merchant, pay 2 Gold: Negate the action's effects.

A: Short Answer: Depends.
With the various cards out there that have some form of negation on them (in the Emperor arc alone, not to mention Legacy play!), it's all but impossible to say without an actual card to compare their interaction against.
If the negation card simply states, "Negate its effects," then both honor loss and honor gains will be negated.
Any other wording could mean a multitude of different interactions.
If there is a more specific card interaction or two you are concerned about, please feel free to ask about them in particular by posting another thread. We'll be happy to address it if you do! Ben Higgins, "Winds of Dismissal", 24 Feb 2012
