Rules Q&A
- Q: So, if I'm paying for Heir's Wrath or even A Stain Cleansed targetting a unit, Does JEK xp produce Gold for it? I'm guessing yes, but a few guys want official answer.
Thanks
A: Yes, Journey's End Keep XP will produce gold in your examples.
You are paying a gold cost for an action, not a Personality, even though that cost is dictated by the Gold Cost stat(s) of the target. Ben Higgins, "Journey End's Keep xp with Heir's Wrath", 19 Mar 2013 - Q: I have three Seeking the Questions and an Heir's Wrath in my hand.
1. Play a Seeking. 2. Use the action to look at a card, put at bottom of deck. 3. Play the second Seeking. Discard 1st Seeking. 4. Repeat Step 2. 5. Play the third Seeking. Discard 2nd Seeking. 6. Repeat Step 2. 7. Destroy enemy personality with Heir's Wrath. 8. Play Ring of Void from 4 Strategies (3 Seekings, Heir's Wrath).
Was this a legal play? Thanks.
A: Certainly. Ring of the Void doesn't require different titles.
However, you might note that both putting Seeking the Question into play and using its ability to look at a card are a "non-Kiho action from Strategies", so in your scenario feel free to drop Ring of the Void after step 4. Jon Palmer, "Successive Seeking the Questions", 4 Jun 2012 - Q: Wrath: How does these cards interact when the personality targeted has destruction negation(?)
A: They're played, and all the effects happen except the destruction, which is negated due to the other card effect.

A: Almost certainly not, but it would be easier to illustrate why if you could give a specific example of the negation you're using. Brook Cunningham, "Sun and Moon #rules-questions", 30 Jan 2026
