Rules Q&A
- Q: Or, in less colorful terms, can a personality whose controller has Yodin sensei 'stapled' to their stronghold issue the challenge created by their opponent's card effect? Is a challenge to a non-specific personality creating a rulebook effect or a card effect?
A: It's still a card effect, and you still can't challenge someone elses personality with it if you're a Yodin Sensei player. Just because it's someone else's card effect that's forcing you to make the choice doesn't change the fact that you would still be targeting with a card effect. Vaughn Derderian, "Rules for December 27th", 27 Dec 2000 - Q: Are created personalities considered brought into play?
A: http://rules.l5r.com/CE_Card_features#Created_cards: "They enter play when created." Zen Faulkes, "Created personalities and Yodin sensei", 19 Sep 2010
