- Q: If I use Yotsu Ueda's ability to target a card and my opponent responds with a reaction (like Kakihara's) which boosts the target's force after I targeted it, what happens? Does Kakihara's reaction (or the like) block Ueda's ability from resolving successfully?

A: No.
As long as Ueda's ability was legal when you targeted it, it's still going to destroy the card you targeted. The Kakihara in this case would still gain its force bonus, then die, which could be pertinent for later effects such as At Any Cost.
