Rules Q&A
- Q: from here
Nothing in the new bowing mechanics say that only cards in play can be bowed. So that means I can bow a fudo ring that is in my hand by turning it sideways compared to the rest of my hand and then show it to use it effects. My only question is do I discard it afterwards or does it return to my hand going face down and out of play so that I can re-use it?
Edit: Yes I know this is a ridiculous question.
A: Cards out of play cannot be bowed.
This will be addressed in the CR document to come, and I will recommend it be added to the Rules Reference document.
And before anyone asks about Togashi Korimi, I'll direct you to the top of page 9 of the Rules Reference, and the Exception for taking Interrupts on a card out of play. Ben Higgins, "Fudo rings", 14 Mar 2014
