Rules Q&A
- Q: Can Paralyzing Touch harpoon from another battlefield into the current one?
A: Yes.
As far as Mike's question above, he assumed what you're asking to be true, with the request to correct him if he was wrong. He was not wrong, so not specific mention of the scenario was made in Jon's answer. As it's printed, you can move an enemy Personality to the current battlefield from a different one, and to a different battlefield from the current one (please correct me if I'm wrong on either count). However can it move a personality from home to the performer's battlefield (a.k.a. the current battlefield)? In other words, does the phrasing "different battlefield" mean that the target has to be at a battlefield?
Less than a week 'til GenCon, so hoping to hear something soon. Thanks!
A: No. As "home" is not a battlefield, a Personality at home cannot move to a different battlefield. Jon Palmer, "Paralyzing Touch (Hoping for ruling before GenCon)", 12 Aug 2012
